The wick of the candle becomes longer as it burns. As it gets longer, the burning pattern deteriorates. For a clean and aesthetic burning, the wick should be 0,5 cm long. As it becomes longer due to burning, the black dried part at the end should be cut and cleaned with candle scissors or normal scissors. If the wick is long, it may emit smoke. If it is short, it will give less light and affect the shape of the candle.
